I had an eBay saved search for the official 12” single of this and was quite surprised to see a couple copies of this bootleg show up. Having like 95% the Aphex Twin discography on vinyl, I took a chance on snagging a copy. Will update on quality when it arrives.
Samugul
My copy sounds pretty trashed. I was expecting bootleg quality of course, but even this is a bit lower than that. Mine is the clear vinyl release (looks very slightly blue tinted), I wonder if these were later pressings and the stamper had just been used and abused? Mine is also cut a little off centre. All this aside, I still enjoy the throwing these on, it's nice to have a vinyl copy of this classic! (also, the ONLY way to own two classic Nine Inch Nails mixes on vinyl...)
Kupidon
Reading this reviews I was expecting a horrible pressing. But sound quality is really ok. I bought this album in cd when it first came out in 2003, so I know quite good how it sounds, and believe me, this is quite good for a bootleg. This -I guess- is a cd rip, maybe remastered for vinyl from already mastered cd tracks. So of course you have some sound issues, some surface noise in quiet moments (as in Nobukazu Takemura's song), etc... But this is something you expect from a bootleg!!! Mine are clear copies. Hope a better packaging and black lps in the future. Warp, come on, listen to the people!
Jaberini
Quite of a strong compilation. Disc 1 was good, but Disc 2 was even better.
Tygrarad
It's garbage. Pressing sound is godawful. Sure, great thing to have but not worth it. Stay away. Seriously.
Vishura
Purchased quad LP pressing, though mine is on clear vinyl. WORST pressing of any record I have ever bought. Surface noise, tiny audible bumps in the record, rough patches that sound like static each time the needle goes through them, even a random locked groove on the outside edge of a record (which would be a neat thing if someone did it on purpose, but given the huge number of other problems, i attribute it to more incompetence). Returned. Terrible. Worthless.

Be warned the reviews look bad. I just saw it in a local record store and opted to buy Analogue Bubblebath 1-5 instead, I am now hoping to return that.
Larosa
I grew up with this album and would love to have it on vinyl. Message me if anyone is looking to sell. How did people hear about this release anyway? Just random digging?
Nalmezar
Hi, do you know where can i found this item available?
Bele
The sound quality is quite good, all is gold, buy it.Even it's not official, it's all well done.
Skilkancar
Sound quality is surprisingly good - doubt this will ever get an official release so this will have to do.
Mozel
It seriously is an UNOFFICIAL bootleg. I've just came back after Sunday digging and have checked it, poorly poor sound indeed. Not lebeled, not sealed and vinyl colors are really like from butt taken. Just another tricky issue, like SAW 2 or CausticWindow
Gabar
My copy was sealed, labeled and sounds fine. Not sure what you're going on about.
BOND
It should be noted that this release does not come sealed in plastic.
Ferri - My name
My copy is sealed and looks professionally done even if it's a bootleg. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet
black coffe
I seriously doubt it's an official release ! I'm interested to know the sound quality please.
Rageseeker
Sound quality is great. Very well done. And it is definitely not an authorized release, much like the Analogue Bubblebath 1 to 5. In fact, I suspect that whoever has released ABB 1-5 is the same behind this (even though they claim to come from different parts of the World).

Track 5, the Bowie/Phillip Glass Heroes remix, is sourced from a poorly encoded MP3 that's had the audio channels reversed, a nasty glitch at 1:47, and it's poorly edited.
Whiteflame
The Bowie/Glass remix is one of the most remarkable things I've ever heard and showcases that RDJ is as adept at throwing up stunning modern classical/avant-gardism as he is programming "clever" and "techy" beat grids for kit geeks to dribble jealously over; I get frightful goosebumps every time I hear it. People that think it sucked have no real perception of the true boundaries of music, time and space.

I just dug cd one out of an old stash and have been listening to it all week. Hadnt heard these tracks in years. After checking this page for the tracklisting started reading the comments and noticed that no one likes the bowie/glass remix. I thought that track was incredible! The stark edits on bowies vocals are masterful. Considering who the original artists were, i imagine he got paid the most for the remix too. Im not sure why, but that makes me like the track even more. A definite standout on the compilation. Once upon a time Aphex twin was known for confounding expectations and i hope there are others out there who feel like he ruined a classic song.
Samutilar
Sarcasm there at the end, I see.
Nagis
I'm with you, the Heroes remix is one of the more interesting tracks he's done.
Virtual
This compilation was a big downer, almost a textbook example of missed opportunities. There may be reasons why some remixes have been left out (although I can't come up with something better than just legal mumbo jumbo), but it's a disgrace that seven tracks have been edited. And then you have tracks like Windowlicker Edit or the SAW original mix, that don't even fit into the concept of this compilation. Needless to say, the scarcity of information in the booklet (don't even want to mention the lame artwork) make "26 Mixes For Cash" look like the cheap and hasty effort the sarcastical title meant it to be.What it should have been:- ALL the remixes- NO other "rare" tracks (because there are plenty enough to fill their own compilation)- NO edits, put it on 3 CDs- booklet with background information and anecdotes, like the funny story about the Curve remix, or even comments by the remixed artistsIn short: A compilation that even RDJ himself can be proud of instead of "26 Mixes For Cash" proving him right that leaving Warp was the best thing to do.
Dianantrius
he didn't leave warp records lol why would that happen
Ienekan
Well, this was before "Syro" and dumping tons of tracks on soundcloud. I remember a couple of interviews years ago, where he expressed a rather negative opinion on doing business/future releases with Warp. Obviously, RDJ has left whatever grudges he had behind.
Vaua
You're giving these claims, leaving Warp in particular, way too much credit.
Uriel
skull_fracture what's the story about curve remix? first that...and second leave warp? where and when?
